Maintain, integrate and operate dual path digital KU satellite truck for broadcast applications. Reliably fulfill contracts to provide video satellite transmission for television network news coverage, major sporting events, and corporate projects; managing 2- 24 freelancers per day from remote locations. Update and maintain corporate website. Drive and operate a satellite truck to nationwide locations (many times in inclement weather); perform preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs on truck and broadcast equipment. Pull cable and set up microphones, video cameras, monitors, jibs, and lights; switch live feeds. Communicate with network producers to adjust audio and video levels, set up IFB transmission, and coordinate delivery of pre-taped news packages, raw video, and live reports. Proactively solve problems by maintaining a back-up plan to circumvent last minute issues. Clients include Most Major Corporation and major networks. Photojournalist / NLE editor / Satellite Truck Engineer for a news gathering cooperative with 200+ member stations.

Field and studio integration of advanced broadcast systems. Brokered day of air and future satellite space; accessed satellite trucks and teleports, helping inexperienced operators with RF chain problems. Assisted co-workers with keeping track of incoming news feeds from all over the nation. Filled-in for Master Control shifts at All News Channel, a 24 hour news channel distributed on USSB and DirecTV; and provided services for USSB and WBFF-TV by request.


KOAT –TV : Satellite Truck Operator / Videographer / Editor

Produced, shot, edited, and distributed via KU broadcast system daily political news feed from New Mexico’s Capitol, Santa Fe.. perform preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs on truck and broadcast equipment. Repaired and updated gear while covering news as a photojournalist. Built a number of non-linear edit suites, and established a extensive video archive library at the station. Networked with other affiliate truck operators to share resources at the site of any major news events.

KTVX- TV4 (a division of Hubbard Broadcasting) – Salt Lake City, Utah

KU digital dual path Satellite truck operator and integrator / Photojournalist / Videotape Editor supporting the evening newscast for an ABC television affiliate. Maintained and updated satellite truck per need, held a class B license and also worked on microwave truck system integration.
